Method of rating cosmetic products

How is the composition of a cosmetic product evaluated?

The COSMETIC RATING : The application indicates via a very simple 5 color code the impact that a product can have on your health and on nature. The cosmetic product rating method is based on the analysis of all the ingredients used in the composition of the product. Based on the state of science to date, each ingredient is assigned a level of risk based on its potential or proven health effects as well as pollutant effects. The level of risk of the same ingredient can be adapted according to the category of the product because in some categories the products are not rinsed, can be inhaled or even ingested while in others not.

How are the product ratings distributed in the database?

The database currently contains 350,000 products whose ratings are distributed as such :


        E 53,76% - To avoid
        D 29,58% - Poor
        C  4,14% - Appropriate
        B  9,95% - Good
        A  2,57% - Very good

It is only this small minority of products classified A, B or C representing barely 16.6% of the products in the database that can be recommended to you.
